Flow Conditioning
If the flowmeter requires straight pipe sections upstream and downstream (e.g., for electromagnetic or turbine flowmeters), ensure the required pipe lengths are available and install straightening vanes if necessary.
Mounting the Flowmeter
Position the flowmeter on the pipe or installation frame according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure proper alignment of the flowmeter with the pipeline to avoid any stress or strain on the instrument.
Preparation and Planning
Identify the correct location for installation based on flow characteristics (e.g., straight pipe section, away from bends, valves, or other disturbances). Prepare any necessary accessories, such as flanges, adapters, or valves, to facilitate installation.
